This is a fun read. If you are interested in the Japanese Samurai, their tactics, diplomacy and role in shaping history, this book is for you. It is an excellent overview of these warriors, covering details of key eras, critical battles and important clans that shaped Japan’s history, complete with wonderful colored illustrations, battle maps and diagrams of campaigns. Covered too are detailed illustrations of Samurai armor, their design and terminology as well as their equipment and weapons. This is not for historians, but if you are looking to understand and read about the Japanese samurai, this should be the first book you buy.
